Design Internship–Paid


Peloton is looking for a talented design intern to work across web and print. You’ll work closely with the Director of Design and the rest of the Peloton team to help create a beautiful and effective visual design experience across all platforms.


• A self-starter mentality focused on designing intuitive and enjoyable experiences across all platforms
• Ability to execute design tasks quickly and efficiently while paying attention to each and every detail
• Appreciation of carefully chosen typography, thoughtful use of white space, balanced color palettes, and consistent visual branding
• Eagerness to learn from and collaborate with the rest of the Peloton team
• Experience designing for both web and print (in other words, you can hand off a PSD to a developer just as easily as you can package an InDesign file for a printer)
• A solid portfolio (website or PDF) showcasing your work
• A love of fitness not required but certainly a plus!

Intern can expect to learn

Expect to jump in and do real work in this internship. A day in the life of our design intern may include designing any of the following: signage for one of our expanding retail locations, an email newsletter template, web and print advertisements, a section of the website, bike app, or mobile app.You’ll learn by working directly with a talented team of designers, developers, and product managers.

Strong potential to move to a full-time position upon internship completion.

American Conservatory Theater, one of the country’s leading regional theaters and actor training institutions, is excited to announce that applications are still being accepted for the 2014.2015 season.

Under the guidance of the Graphic Design team, the Graphic Design Fellow assists the organization’s in-house design team. Our three-member team is passionate about design, and committed to creating concept-driven, imaginative, and relevant collateral (including direct mail, print and digital advertising, in-house publications, etc.) that live up to A.C.T.’s high standards of creativity. There is a strong emphasis on adapting and creating ads for our mainstage shows and conservatory programs for both national and regional publications. Other projects include conceptualizing and executing brochures, posters, signage, event promotions, and more.

Specific assignments may involve any of the following: designing ads for the San Francisco Chronicle, Bay Area News Group, American Theatre, and other major publications; designing original art for our Young Conservatory and Master of Fine Arts Program performances and classes; creating signage for our box office and theater lobby; adapting existing designs for various formats; photo manipulation; and production.

Qualified candidates should have a degree, or be working toward a degree, in graphic design; proficiency in CS5 and Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign (Mac platform); strong conceptual skills, sophisticated design sensibilities, and creative typographic solutions; the ability to offer a variety of design options; be efficient and flexible, and able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment; and demonstrate organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving and time-management skills.

Empire Design is an award winning creative agency based in London and New York that is seeking a design intern in our New York studio. Empire Design specializes in world-class film and TV advertising campaigns, serving a range of international and domestic clients. This internship offers hands-on experience in a highly specialized field where you’ll learn about every aspect of the creative process from conceptualizing ideas, creating copy, visualizing concepts, to retouching and finishing art.

Our ideal intern is at least at junior level in college and would be willing to learn and contribute to all aspects of studio design. We seek a highly creative, self-motivated individual with exceptional Photoshop skills. If you are interested in what it takes to create Key Art for the highest rated shows on American TV; conceiving campaigns for summer blockbusters that utilize work from the world’s most acclaimed photographers, this is where you start.

A sense of humor and strong technical trouble-shooting abilities are welcome but not required.

Graphic Design Scholarship–$1500 towards tuition/supplies is pleased to announce its Creativity Scholarship, which is designed to promote the study in graphic design and related disciplines through a monetary scholarship. Click on the following links for more information about this scholarship:

  • Student is  majoring full-time in a Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Animation, or Gaming program college or university.
  • Be an Undergraduate or Graduate student with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

  • Prefer students seeking a Graphic Design degree, however, we will consider other art degrees.

Scholarship Details:

Zealot Productions is seeking a motion designer intern to work with their creative team designing and animating graphics for the movie trailers. Looking for a talented young motion designer who we can build a professional relationship with, has a qualification from a reputable design school, is eager to learn and has a keen interest in film and theatrical marketing.

The motion designer will be responsible for assisting our current designer animating graphics for the movie trailers produced by Zealot. This includes designing a unique title treatment (and all other graphics within the trailer) for each trailer that we work on so a strong understanding of typography is very important.

We are looking for a candidate who is available to work 2-3 days a week. Please note that this is a paid internship with the potential for freelance or full time opportunities in the future.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a portfolio that demonstrates their design talents and excellent typography skills

Be well versed in After Effects (knowledge of Cinema 4D is a plus)

Have a strong interest in film (interest in movie trailers a giant plus!)

Be articulate and eager to learn

Ideally have a college degree in a design related field (but not a must)

Be based in NYC and available to work in house
