This Thursday, July 30th at 6:30 PM the Museum of the City of New York is holding a discussion titled “How Rand Connected the Dots: When the European Avant Garde Met Commercial Design.”
Speakers include Professor Emeritus of Design History at the University of Illinois, Victor Margolin and graphic designers Mark Kingsley and Nathan Garland. The conversation will be moderated by Cooper Hewitt Contemporary Design Curator Ellen Lupton, who will explore Paul Rand’s European avant-garde influences.
