Graphic Design Spring Internship–Children’s Book Design Department


Harper Collins is currently seeking an intern to support the Children’s Design department!  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the process from first design through what you see on a bookshelf and all the behind-the-scenes work in between!

This spring internship is a paid opportunity (14 hours per week), and it will run from February 16 through April 22 for a total of 10 weeks.

As a design intern on the flights team, you will work side-by-side a team of designers, developers, and product owners to help create a world-class flight booking experience. The Motion Graphics intern for The Video Development Group in New York will assist Designers and Producers with graphics and animations for all CNN digital platforms. The Video Development Group is split into two primary units, focusing on daily turn news & feature content, as well as longer-lead series. This internship position will spend time with both units, creating an opportunity to learn a wide range of skills over the course of the program.

Tasks May Include

  • Animating video package elements, including opens, lower thirds, and text on screen

The intern will work with the National Air and Space Museum’s Exhibits Design department staff to create graphics for signage, posters, brochures, and exhibits. He/she will work with staff members to learn project goal, electronically assemble required elements, and lay out graphics in computer design software. He/she should have skill in using the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, and should have skill in the use of typography.

This internship is part of the National Air and Space Museum’s structured summer internship program, which provides firsthand experience working in a museum. During the 10-week program, each intern is assigned a supervisor and works on an internship project and other tasks. In addition to their projects, interns also frequently meet as a group for presentations, professional development opportunities, enrichment activities, and tours.

Hello QC Design Community!

Mark your calendars, because the annual student exhibition is fast approaching. The exhibit runs from February 8th-18th. Please join us on Wednesday, February 10th, from 5-7pm for an opening reception in the Klapper Hall Student Gallery, located on the 4th floor.

We are also looking for volunteers to help curate and hang the exhibition, as well as volunteers to sit in the space during the course of the show- so that we can keep it open to the public as much as possible. If you are interested, please contact Professor Smith at


Marvel’s Internship Program is offered to students who are currently enrolled in college full-time. Internships run year-round on a semester-to-semester basis (Fall, Spring and Summer).

Marvel offers several different kinds of internships, some you wouldn’t expect. Like most businesses we need different departments to keep the old ship going full steam ahead, and we encourage students to apply to more than one department if they feel they have the skills that fit the bill.

Production (A.K.A. The Bullpen):

So you say you like to multitask? The type who’s into working independently? And you want to obtain firsthand knowledge regarding the physical production of a comic book? Well, interning in this department really gives you a firsthand look at the nitty-gritty of how comic books get from just being separate art, color, and lettering files and well on their way to being physical copies you can actually hold in your hands! You’ll be asked to scan original art or create print-ready PDF files, so Mac computer skills are key here, folks! Keep in mind that you’ll also need to have a working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Familiarity with Marvel’s characters and comics in general is extremely beneficial!

Surf the web on and a wide range of other online initiatives! Interns should have knowledge of video games, pop culture, movies, TV, etc. All web interns help manage and update content on and our other websites.

We offer five fantastic types of Online Internships:

  • Web Analytics, Online Marketing and Business Development Interns must be available at least 3 days a week and are involved in sales and traffic analysis, assisting in research of new revenue opportunities and ongoing site improvement.   • Web design interns help design the look and feel for the online face of Marvel.     Interns will obtain firsthand knowledge about the development of online comics (Good luck folding these puppies up and putting them in your back pocket!). It’s your chance to bring your Mac/PC skills to the table and show us what you’ve got, and while you’re at it, familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and knowledge of Marvel characters doesn’t hurt either!
