Graphic Designer Internship

AMP Agency

We’re looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our NYC team in the Summer. The Creative Department is responsible for the implementation, visual identity, and execution of all projects within the agency. Spearheading AMP Agency’s integrated approach, the Design Team works directly with the Creative Director to insure the highest quality work. The Design Intern will play an important role within the Creative Department and will actively provide day-to-day support for one or more design teams for execution of our industry-leading creative. This is a paid position. It can also be used for college credit if required by your university

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting creative team across many different projects
  • Creating custom content for brands across various social platforms
  • Assisting with website edits and mockups
  • Retouching and resizing photos
  • Participating in brainstorms and strategy meetings
  • Assisting with stock photo searches
  • Banner production

Qualifications Include

  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great visual design solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong visual aesthetic with knowledge of current design trends
  • High level attention to detail
  • A healthy addiction to the internet and working knowledge of various social platforms
  • Must be team-oriented, responsive, and comfortable collaborating
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment on multiple projects
  • Prior internship experience within a creative agency environment is a plus
  • A great sense of humor (trust us, you’ll need it)



3D/Motion Graphic Artist Intern (PAID)

  • Create highly engaged 2D and 3D animations for company promotions
  • Ability to edit green screen motion capture and seamlessly animate it in videos
  • Be involved in different phases of development, from conceptualization and storyboarding to animating and editing
  • Work with instructional designers to develop and fulfill project objectives
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects within the Marketing Department
  • Have a positive attitude and eager to participate


  • Currently enrolled in school with an interest in Motion Graphics
  • Proficient in Maya, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Excellent design sense, including color and typography
  • Excellent sense of timing, motion, and movement in visual media
  • Positive attitude and outstanding creative approach to problem solving
  • Skills/knowledge of video editing in Adobe Premiere is a big plus
  • 3D Generalist preferred
  • Must have demo reel or portfolio

Additional Information

  • This internship is paid
  • The position begins June and ends August (10 weeks)
  • You are expected to work 20-30 hours a week

Bloomberg’s User Experience Team is offering internships to qualified students who will work closely with our team of UX/UI designers, Product, and Developers toward building brand-consistent mobile and desktop application experiences for our core service subscribers. Our team is seeking candidates with demonstrated cutting-edge visual design, design communication, and strong typographic skills, and to work for a 3 month period during the summer. Not only will interns get the opportunity to work in a talented and growing team with mentorship opportunities, but they will also get the chance to understand how UX is applied to a specialized domain – financial services – with unique user needs.

Applicants must provide a resume AND portfolio showcasing UI graphic design experience.

A background in applying common user-centered design practices to solve design challenges is desired. The ideal candidate would be a fast learner, hands-on team player who has ability to create detailed designs.

Job Description is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to work out of our New York City studio starting in Spring or Summer 2016. Interns will be working with the core team and project teams across a range of projects and mediums, from print design, presentation design, product interactions, and digital interaction design.

Prototyping and production skills are essential, as well as a passion for design and a point of view about your work. The ideal candidate has strong visualization and prototyping skills in addition to being comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams.

Areas of responsibility

  • Creating’s internal graphic design projects and initiatives
  • Supporting the development of’s digital presence online
  • Crafting and evolving’s visual identity
  • Supporting project teams
  • Bringing communications design expertise to the team
  • Inspiring teams through collaboration, as well as the direction, vision, and planning all aspects of visual deliverables
  • Initiating internal projects and creating systems for everyone to incorporate design into their work
  • Working on projects that spread across print, packaging, and brand identity to interactive projects for screens, devices, and space
  • Creating prototypes of different levels of fidelity to help determine design direction for a project qualifications


We seek a motivated individual who…

  • Is well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Has a strong portfolio and elevated sense of design, color, and typography
  • Has proficiency in web design and digital applications
  • Has experience and knowledge of interaction design, UX design a plus
  • Is currently enrolled in a professional degree program (preferred) or in an undergraduate program and is eligible to receive either academic credit and / or grant funding from your academic institution
  • Excels at research and possesses excellent communications skills
  • Is a team player who can adapt to social and professional situations
  • Is an independent self-starter; ability to multi-task in a highly energetic, fast-paced environment
