Intern, Coding: Coalition for Queens (unpaid)

Applications are open for the Coalition for Queens (C4Q) Access Code!!
Access Code is a tech education program, a transformative 10-month course that trains adults from diverse backgrounds to become computer programmers and places them at leading companies such as Pinterest, OkCupid, and JPMorgan. Our graduates have seen their salaries on average quadruple after graduating from the program.
We focus specifically on serving people from diverse backgrounds, particularly minorities, immigrants, and other populations underserved in the tech industry. The program has no upfront costs, and our cohorts are over 50% immigrants, 50% underrepresented minorities, and 50% female.

Visual Design Interns at Huge assist the creative staff on a wide range of real projects—from site builds and redesigns to mobile apps and campaigns. They support and contribute to some of the biggest and most innovative media projects online, work alongside other designers and are called upon to participate in every aspect of the process. Able to conceptualize and execute brand campaigns and digital product mockups. A solid understanding of design fundamentals— Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Adobe creative suite and knowledge of web trends are a must.

This is a paid internship, starting on June 6th and lasting through mid-August.

Digital Production Intern

Ogilvy is seeking a digital enthusiast with an understanding of the wider digital communications landscape and a curiosity about how digital projects come together, to join the Digital Production team at Ogilvy NY. Interns are responsible for assisting producers and project managers in their daily tasks, focused on the day-to-day management of digital marketing programs. We are looking for someone who is available to work full time, for an engagement of four months at minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Research and come to understand the mechanics of how digital ideas evolve into fully-fledged, built-out projects, and how those projects fit into larger marketing ecosystems
  • Assist in creation and management of project-related documents:
    • Schedule, staffing, and budget estimates
    • Status communications for work progress and finance
  • Assist in content entry for large content-oriented digital projects:

Requirements

The challenge

Adobe’s Marketing Cloud XD (Experience Design) team is seeking a Visual Design Intern in New York City to join our team. We want someone who is an excellent graphic and interaction designer – who sweats the aesthetic details – and yet is able to look at the big picture from a user experience, technology and business perspective. This person will be willing to advocate for the user’s needs to deliver compelling, elegant and delightful experiences.

What You’ll Do
  • Work with a Senior Designer to reimagine the visual and UX design of a single solution in Adobe’s Marketing Cloud.
  • Concept & execute designs for existing and future feature sets.
  • Convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, and high-fidelity mockups
  • Support and collaborate with the development team to assure a high quality of visual and UX design
  • Collaborate with other interns, designers, product managers and stakeholders
